Woe to those who amalgamate Christ and Hollywood!

This is a follow-up from my previous entry. It’s necessary that we dig deeper into the issue of Hollywood and the Church responding to it. Dr. Phil Cooke writes an article on how pastors and ministry leaders can use the Narnia tales and its resources to reach a wider audience. The article itself needs to be examined against the Word of God as it contains innumerable errors which Christians fail to detect but defend it instead.

The author: ‘Dr. Phil Cooke is a writer, speaker, filmmaker, & media consultant who’s work focuses on creating personal and organizational cultures where real change happens.‘  The author’s concern is not the Gospel and saving souls, it is creating cultures where real change happens. To begin with, the author is not a Spirit-filled, Gospel-convicted believer, he is swinging the pendulum to hypnotize the unsuspecting. [The synonym for change is transform. This term is extensively used by the NWO (New World Order) propaganda. The NWO, hence the one world government, cannot be achieved without bringing about cultural changes as they want it.]

‘”One of the key principles that the movie industry in Hollywood is founded on is understanding how popular ideas and trends connect to an audience.  It’s no surprise that when comic books are popular, films like X-Men, Wolverine, Superman, or Batman hit the screen.  When teen girls (Christians teens as well)start buying romance novels, films based on books by Nicolas Sparks fill the theaters (what are Christian girls doing drooling over romantic movies?)  When the Christian audience finally began buying tickets, once again, Hollywood responded.  As a result, even in the middle of this economic recession, the entertainment industry is doing remarkably well.  Hollywood is the serpent in the garden, and Christians the Eve. Hollywood lures, Christians respond, Hollywood tempts more, Christians respond more. Hollywood does not care about your soul, it wants you spending eternity in hell; it wants you to go against God’s command of not letting the world consume you. The serpent will ask whether God really say that (and those words of doubt may even come out of the mouth of your pastor if he is using Hollywood to back up his messages!) The Bible is inspired by the Holy Spirit of God, and you say it’s okay to use Hollywood alongside?? [May I add that Hollywood is owned by the Illuminati, the Lucifer worshippers. At least by this knowledge you will refrain from entertaining your audience with it during your sermons; and the congregation itself reject being entertained by it.] And of course Hollywood does remarkably well during the recession, isn’t the global finance governed by the same Satan worshippers?

The reason Hollywood “responds”, as state by Dr. Cooke, is because the Illuminati want to bring the change to the culture as they want to it. “One of the key principles that the movie industry in Hollywood is founded on is understanding how popular ideas and trends connect to an audience (and hence bring about the change).” The Global Elites, as they are also known as, control the world by promoting their ideas and trends through films and music. When viewers watch a movie, their subconscious mind picks up the subliminal* messages. The message doesn’t even have to be subliminal; a human mind can be easily manipulated like a puppet, doing and saying what it sees others do and say. Hollywood films implants music, imagery, thoughts, scenes, words and actions in the human mind that at some point in time, the person is bound to do the same thing (depending on the situation) as shown in the movie, whether good or bad. This is a gross mockery to having the same mind as that of Christ! It is sheer foolishness to bring in the Luciferian entertainers to be part of their sermon by those who call themselves by Christ’s name.

The truth is, connecting the ideals, dreams, and concerns of the culture to a compelling message is something the Apostle Paul discovered when he addressed the thinkers and philosophers at Athens in Acts 17.  He didn’t speak in a vacuum.  He connected, because he understood and respected the issues that mattered to them. ” – Paul did not use Greek entertainment to support God’s Gospel! “For while I was passing through and examining the objects of your worship, I also found an altar with this inscription, ‘TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.’ Therefore what you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you.” Paul was making Christ known to them by revealing to them who the unknown God is. He did not use their items of entertainment, or the names of any other “god” like Zeus, Ares, Athena, Aphrodite, Nike, Apollo, Artemis and Hercules (or Aslan, Superman, Spiderman, Matrix)

” 20th Century Fox and Walden Media are making resources available from the movie for you to use to help tell that story.” 20th CF couldn’t care less about the saving grace of God. It’s not the Gospel they want you to share, it’s the Bible they want to get rid of! And may I add that they are succeeding in accomplishing the agenda? Is it not God’s Gospel? Is it not His Word alone that can fully speak of His mighty acts? Or does Hollywood do a better job in relating history?

It’s been said that “Hollywood is great at making fake things look real, but Christians are great at making real things look fake.”   Now, you have the chance to change that perception.  Here’s your chance to share one of the greatest stories of C.S. Lewis (read the truth about C.S. Lewis) , and create a platform to engage your community with the greatest story ever told.” No thanks. The Bible is written through the inspiration of God, and it is written as HE wants it to be; and He wants it to be told as it is. If people think Christians are great at making real things look fake, praise God! He reveals the truth to those who look foolish to the world but are wise unto God. He chose the lowly things of the world to confound the noble. The Gospel looks fake to those to whom God has not revealed the mysteries of His Kingdom! It’s not our responsibility to manipulate it so that it looks real to the ungodly.

So here’s the conclusion: if you try to justify Hollywood sermons, just be informed that you are justifying the Luciferian agenda too. Please repent and turn to the pure and powerful Word of God for the sake of your soul and of your sheep (the goats will leave). Get to know the God by whose name you call yourself; if you believe He is the same yesterday today and forever (Heb 13:8) then the same applies for His Scripture. It’s the plain truth, nothing but the truth and it is not sweet or entertaining, but stern – convicting, warning, rebuking, encouraging, inspiring, correcting; dealing with eternal life and death!

Substituting The Holy Bible with The Chronicles of Narnia!?!?

I definitely do not want to be sitting in church listening to some preacher preach on the Chronicles of Narnia! If I really wanted to, I could very well discuss the movie with friends. They who have the Spirit let them discern:

Dear pastor, did you know that if you don’t know how to sugar coat your messages, here’s how you can do exactly that. Mind you, although you may please your congregation with the amazing themes of the movie with which your sheep can relate to practically, you are in danger of standing before THE Lord of lords and THE King of kings (forget Aslan) and telling Him why you chose to use Narnia tales over His living Word. You may want to be ready with the answers to satisfy Him with, telling Him why Narnia tales is a better option for a Sunday morning message than the Sword of the Spirit. Could your reasoning include the lie that the Bible is irrelevant in the 21st century? Or that everything in the Bible has been preached from your pulpit and you’ve got sheep in your church who know thoroughly the mind of God revealed in the Bible? You may also want to tell the risen Lord that the command to carry our cross daily to follow Him is too exaggerated and judgmental, and you may get stoned or lose your audience for preaching rough; at least you are helping God by your strategy to support His Word by a relevant movie, right?
If you are that pastor, evangelist, youth pastor, Sunday school teacher, missionary, preacher, reverend then I fear on your behalf.

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.  Not every one that saith unto Me, “Lord, Lord”, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, “Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works?” And then will I profess unto them, “I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.” – Matt 7:21-23

These words have often helped me keep myself in check. On that day, not every Christian will be accepted by the Lord. That is a frightening truth! It should frighten any Christian, esp. those of authority as Jesus was addressing the leaders since generally pastors, preachers, evangelists etc claim to prophesy, cast out demons, heal and do other good works. It is the shepherd of the flock that is held responsible of what and how he feeds those under his care. If you rather entertain your audience and attract more people to church or keep others from leaving and thus put your own soul and the souls of your sheep in eternal danger, you better prepare answers alongside to justify yourself before the just Judge!

His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
– Isaiah 56: 10-11

And not just the shepherds but the sheep too – the Lord will require an account of you as well. You seem to be happily nodding your heads when that pastor up there is exalting Aslan. Not even searching the Scripture to hear the voice of the Lord to see whether what you’re being fed is of His. But I suppose listening to Narnia tales is better than listening to a message on how worldly your lifestyle is, right? At least Aslan doesn’t care whether your attire is too tight and revealing, and you listen to songs and watch movies that allure you away from the holy life you are called to live.

Please inspect your own selves, pastors and congregation alike. The Gospel is never meant to entertain, it deals with the issues of eternal life and death, hence it’s meant to be serious! I’m not implying that Church messages are supposed to be boring, but rather convicting people of sin and leading them to repentance; aligning lives with God’s holiness. If pastors spent more time praying and studying the Scripture they will surely come up with life-giving messages because they will be speaking living words of the living God. If the congregation thins out, it is because the goats wanted entertainment, not convicting truth!

To be continued….
